Henry Parnell Park was born in December of 1919. He was the youngest
of 7, and like any little brother, he loved to spend time with his older brothers. Later on they started a tradition of smoking BBQ for family reunions. Henry, later known as Reverend H.P. Park, was an ordained minister for over 60 years. He loved to travel and hold revivals all over Texas with his wife Louise, who he was married to for 65 years. Rev. H.P. Park was also known affectionately by his family and even many close friends as “Papaw”. He was a gentleman of strong character, lovable personality, unquestionable honesty, and of highest integrity. Three of his favorite places to be were hunting in Texas, fishing in the mountains of Colorado, and smoking BBQ in his own backyard. Papaw, and Louise, also known as “Mamaw” with her love and liveliness and unending support of Papaw, always enjoyed welcoming many people over and feeding them their food.
